You need to be off of medications for one year and have a doctors statement indication you are stable without medication. My two cents - if you have anxiety issues now the military will not help to improve the problem and will more than likely make it worse. We operate in a pretty high stress environment. Usually 60 days or 6 month's I am not sure which. Until you are stable on them you will not be able to carry a weapon other so this fact may cause you to be delayed into basic or if you are in non-deployable. I tried both of these and man I could not do it. All I take now is Lunesta! Lexapro kicked my ass and Trazodone did not help me sleep! So good on you if they help. People will tell you getting help in the military will hurt. This is not true just get help! Also you do not need to tell anyone except your doctor what is going on once in the military.
