I took Lexapro 10mg and Yasmin for several months and did just fine. I talked to my physician about the Lexapro and my gyno about the Yasmin and they both said that they would be fine together.
I have had success with Lexapro and Yasmin. Yasmin is the only BCP I could ever tolerate.
P.S. I use the BCP to regulate things, not for birth control. I’m in no danger of getting pregnant, so I don’t know if the Lexapro weakens the Yasmin. Ask a doc or pharmacist to be sure.
hello.
im on lexapro 10mg as well, and i did some research for my studies in med school and i have never come across anything that said taking any type of birth control is bad with lexapro. I was on low dose ortho tri cyclen before i started on ortho evra and it never worked well for me because i wasn’t getting enough hormones. You may need to try a few different kinds on and off before you find the one thats right for you. I hope this helped! Make sure you call the doctor or a pharmacy if you’re ever unsure about taking any type of medication with Lexapro, they’re usually very helpful!
