heyy, im 16 and have generalized anxiety disorder
lexapro. didnt work for me. it was redicilious. i also have issues with my stomach, and lexapro intensified this and wacked me out realllly bad, its not fun to be on, you get nautious constantly and all you ever want to do is sleep and it makes focous harder. and personally i felt no difference when i was on it. however, one of my best friends, got perscribed the same thing and it works out for him really well, so, id say if your willing to try, give it little trial, good luck (:
yes lexapro is awesome
not even addicting.
its not instant but in about 2 weeks you feel wayy better
if i was you id go to your psychiatrist not just your family docter
you cant pick the medicine you want anyhow
just dont get on xanax highly addicting and horrible withdrawels.
hope i helped!!
I am 40 and have been on anti-depressants since I was 13. Both of my daughter’s take anti-depressants too. My youngest is on Prozac and she is 15 and it seems to work well for her.
My oldest daughter is a different story it seems like we can not find the right medication for her. Currently she is on Wellbutrin and things seem to be going better for her.
I have been on several medications in my lifetime and I have found Klonopin with an anti-depressant has worked the best for me. However, I have found that the psychiatrist or family doctors do not put children on Klonopin on Xanax because of the addiction and kids also sell it. I think that is sad because they are great medications but unfortunately it has been abused.
I have a link on the bottom at bout Wellbutrin and you can also search and look at different websites for Wellbutrin.
