On 30 mg now. Started on 10 mg. 20 mg made me really nervous. Now I am feeling much better and use to the medication. Is it ok to stay on 30 mg for awhile? Is that too much? I don’t like taking medication but I really had to get on medication for my anxiety. Lexapro has been a miracle!

Only your doctor can tell you when it is time to begin lowering your dosage. Do not do it on your own. It has to be tapered slowly to reduce the amount of side effects.

There is nothing wrong with that. I am glad you are feeling good!! there might come a point when it is too much and you might need a lower dose. talk to your doctor of course when that time comes. Good luck to you
I started Lexapro at 10mg, was raised to 20, then before a week on 20 an inept psychiatrist raised it to 40.
40 messed me up badly. I was having convulsions.
Another psychiatrist dropped it back to 20, but I was still shaking uncontrollably so I was switched to another pill.
Always follow your doctor’s suggestions to reduce the dose.
I just went from 30mg of Citalopram to 20mg after asking if I could.
Yes, you can stay on the Lexapro as long as you need to be.
It’s good to hear you’re doing so well on it
Best of luck to you
I went all the way up to 40mg and didn’t really feel all that much better. It was given to me for my depression. I was taken off of it after about 5 months because it wasn’t helping. I don’t believe 30mg is too much if it’s helping you out a lot. Stay on it as long as you feel you need it as long as your doctor/psychiatrist says it’s ‘OK’. It’s great that you found something that works for you! I’m still trying to find the ‘right’ meds for my depression/anxiety.
