Bipolar is a chemical disorder. Weeks or months of being deeply depressed then week or months of elevated mood. While some people with Bipolar can be affected seasonally most are not. I was deeply depressed this winter but was manic last winter.......

Seasonal Affective Disorder is a separate disorder where people become depressed in the winter time usually because of the short days/lack of light. It does not have manic periods and is not related to Bipolar.

It's a syndrome. It might be affected and intensified by environmental things. Here's an example:

"FUCK YOU MAN YOU'RE GAY!!!"
(30 seconds later)
"Hey bro, what do you want to do?"

he won't remember or will but acts as if it didn't happen. he has one personality and then another one that comes after, usually opposite (thus, BIpolar like the poles are opposite).

Bipolar disorder is a mood disorder. You cycle between episodes of depression and mania, but most of the time you're depressed. You can learn more about bipolar disorder at www.depressiondodging.com

If you think you have bipolar disorder you have to go tell a doctor.
