Cognitive behavioral therapy is very good for changing your reactions to things and behaviors associated with your anxiety, where I feel that just talking to a counselor is trying to figure out the root of the anxiety itself. I prefer C.B.Therapy.
Cognition is a fancy word for thinking.
What we think "impacts" our emotions. Cognitive Therapy is a way to "think" through a problem, such as panic situations, not so much by flooding but by discussing triggers that lead up to the "feeling" anxious.
Anxiety can be triggered by certain situations or presenting conditions.
