I just posted in another answers, so just look at my last answer for a little more details. But 5-HTP, which is free, safe and natural, and in my opinion, better than antidepressants. I don't say that often at all. But it really really really is. And it's easier to get off of.

EDIT: DO NOT listen to the people who are talking about Benzos. They literally blunt every sense you have. I swear I felt like I was on a psychedelic when I came off of the benzo. It made my generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder worse after it went too high. Doctors do not know commonly that this happens. It took me going into withdrawals and nearly having a seizure and going to a psych facility for a week before I found that out.
Benzos ARE NOT the first answer. ALWAYS an antidepressant or NATURAL REMEDIES first. NATURAL works! It really really does! Trust me, I have the WORST anxiety.
Also, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy will make you so you can come off of it all completely though.

There are specific medications for anxiety. I take buspar it is called an anti-anxiety. The ones you have tried are antidepressants, selective seritonin reuptake inhibitors, seritonin is a brain chemical, a neurotransmitter, and these medications make it stay around longer on your brains receptors. If your seritonin was fine you may simply need an anti-anxiety medication.

i take trihexaphenadyl for my severe anxiety episodes. it does help some but there is no insurance in this country that pays for it. it is not really expensive though unless like me you are on a limited income. i am disabled and receive a disability check every month. it is a med that is specifically designed for anxiety. talk to your doctor about it and see what he/she has to say about it. I Wish you all the Best!
