Hi,
I am a recording engineer at National Geographic. For all recording that gets here in the studio setting the computer and hard disk recorders are the supreme tools I use. It sounds like you want something that is portable and records directly to a CD, well this can be done. There are several pieces of gear that do exactly that. One unit I have found that dose this is the
( Marantz CDR300 ). Marantz makes great quality products that produce great recordings, but are not the cheapest on the market. I have seen the CDR300 sale for about $650.
One thing to think about when picking a recording device is the type of microphone you will be using for you recordings. A good mic makes all the difference when making quality recording so you have to make sure that the recorder itself is able to connect to a quality mic. The name of the connector you are looking for is called "XLR". A good quality recorder well have XLR inputs.
I hope this is helpful and good luck.

I think you are going the wrong way, hypnosis is no longer relevant.
