What is the purpose or what is the benefits of HYPNOSIS ?

Simply put hypnosis is a means of "programming" your subconscious.
A lot of our behavior and behavioral patterns arise from our subconscious. If we want to change some of these patterns we can go or be put into a hypnotic state which is a state of near sleep and have suggestions, affirmations put in there to change some of these patterns to more useful and beneficial ones.
When you are asleep your conscious mind is not active and it is your subconscious mind which is in control (so to speak). So when you are being hypnotised you are in a very relaxed (near-sleep) state where both your conscious and subconscious minds are active. When you are being hypnotised you are actually aware of everything that is being said; it’s not like on TV where the hypnotist can fool around with your mind without you knowing about it.
Hypnosis is extremely helpful in kicking bad habits like smoking, gambling, etc and building good ones like confidence and calmness.
You can practice self-hypnosis too.

Yes hypnosis is the programming of the unconcious mind trough distraction of the concious mind. It is very helpfull in curing phobia etc.
