It depends on how bad your Anxiety disorder is. If you suffer daily, then you probably need something you take on a daily basis. Any one of the selective Seritonin Reuptake Inhibitors such as Zoloft. If you only have attacks once and a while then any one of the benzodiazepines like Ativan or Valium or Xanax will help.
Well I take Xanax and it does help a lot, but really you need to go to a Doctor to make sure, because if you have an addictive personality Xanax is not good for you. And most medication that will really help you are prescribe. Go to the Doctor. That is your only solution. There are lots of medications that a doc can prescribe for you. Good luck.
While medication is good and helpful, do you really want to have to use it on a long-term basis?!!!
Find a psychologist who can help you learn to cope with your anxiety without the use of medications. Medications should be used short-term and only to help you in learning techniques. We’re an over medicated society!
Also, anxiety is very common and there are numerous psychological interventions that are incredibly helpful. Get a referral from your GP. Learn some relaxation techniques, identify those thoughts that encourage the anxiety. Just don’t stay on the meds for too long!!!
Hi,
Following is the treatment.
The doctor will treat any underlying disease. Alcohol, coffee and cola drinks should be avoided. The doctor may prescribe medicines to reduce anxiety. Psychotherapy may help to cope with the situation. Relaxation techniques, meditation and yoga help to reduce the anxiety. Getting enough rest during the day, as well as a good night’s sleep can help.
