If anybody knows if you are suffering from anxiety or depression it will be you.
Nobody can tell you that you are, if you don’t already know you are.
I suffer from moderate anxiety, and asked my doctor about it, he didn’t know about it before I did. I think doctors that tell you that your suffering from things like this are probably not doing you any good. If you listen to them they will have you dependant on drugs that can really mess with your head. Becareful.
Only you can decide if you are depressed or anxious, don’t allow someone else to tell you that you are.

I think you should consider the break as a blessing. Slow down, enjoy the break. You know what you are feeling. Try to talk about those things with someone. Just talking, complaining, venting, anything helps no matter how small or large the issues.
She just means you seem really stressed and sad. Everyone feels that way sometimes. I used to have ‘deep depression’ too. I battled it with optimistic thoughts and I’m very happy and content with life. Just try not to obsess over problems, that’s what I did. Try not to get offended at what the doctor did, it sounds like she is just really concerned about you. Good luck with everything!
Just do what your doctor told you to do. It is possible that she will be working out with you the way to deal with the high anxiety and depression in a manner which will cause both disorders to dissipate. It is possible to have depression which leads one to have a high anxiety disorder. Don’t feel that you have been betrayed by your doctor when she does tell your mother what she feels you are experiencing. You did not say how old you were. If you are not of legal age the doctor is by all rights able to speak to your mother unless you state you do not want this to occur. Tell your mother that you do not wish to have this occur if she does try to get information from the doctor the next time. Before telling your mother this make sure you have told your doctor that this is not be a practice when she is treating you.
