can lexapro give you permanent side effeccts? and what are the worst side effects of it?

"Lexapro side effects
Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: skin rash or hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have any new or worsening symptoms such as: mood or behavior changes, anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, or if you feel impulsive, irritable, agitated, hostile, aggressive, restless, hyperactive (mentally or physically), more depressed, or have thoughts about suicide or hurting yourself.
Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
* very stiff (rigid) muscles, high fever, sweating, fast or uneven heartbeats, tremors, overactive reflexes;
* nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, feeling unsteady, loss of coordination; or

Ultimately, some side effects stick around longer than others when it comes to drugs, but any and all of these can occur. I’d also like to point out the second paragraph that says "more depressed, or have thoughts about suicide or hurting yourself"… so you might get better, you might get worse, or you might get dead.

My brother-in-law took lexapro and he jumped out the window. And flew away-we have’nt seen him in weeks.

Lexapro is a drug that effects the pituitary gland, the master gland of the body. This will then effect the adrenal glands and then the entire hormonal/glandular system. The drug unbalances the hormones and thus the side effects which can be about anything you can think of when a hormone is out of balance. Getting off of it is really hard as well as when you go off of it the body has to balance itself back and it has a hard time of it. Lexapro will deplete the body of essential fatty acids.
The side effects that come up the most is anxiety, insomnia, depression…. etc. etc. etc. Sometimes people will compalin of having thyroid problems when it is really the drug unbalancing things.
