I have an intense fear of rollar coasters! When someone mentions them, I get clammy and nauseous and they MUST stop talking about them! At the end of my 8th grade year (this year), we got on a school trip to Hershey Park. I want to go to get over my fear, but I THINK I MIGHT HAVE A SERIOUS PANIC ATTACK! What are they really like though, panic attacks?
Ok, I am NOT looking for a way to get over my fear. Jsyk.

What are some exercises I can do so I don’t get them anymore. besides breathing ( honestly I don’t think the breathing is working ).
Bonus Question – How do you control your mind with out letting it control you? I mean after you experience something scary your mind keeps bringing it back to you. How do you control not allowing yourself to focus on things that could cause a panic attack?

How do you know that you are having a panic attack? For the last month and a half I have been having dizzy spells and feeling sick to my stomach. The spells would last between 15 to 30 mins. After the spells I would feel really tired and feel tense all over becuase I don’t know when they will come on again. I have had blood work done and next friday I will have and echo done. I have scheduled an appointment with a heart specialist. I will see my doctor on sat July 28 2007 to find out the test results. If I am having a panic attacks is there and kind of medication that I can take to help stop having theses attacks?

Today in my 2nd hour class I had a mild panic attack. I didn’t cause a scene or anything, but I went to the nurse and my mom brought me home. I haven’t felt very good for the rest of the day. Do you think I should go to school tomorrow? I have an important state test tomorrow at school and a track meet. I’m not sure if I can afford to stay home from school tomorrow?

I’ve had sleep paralysis before as a kid, but now I’ve been starting get it a lot lately. Often times I feel a really strong numbness over my entire body, heart racing and trouble breathing. First time it happened I thought I was having a stroke/heart attack or as if I was being choked out. So is it possible to have a panic attack during sleep paralysis?
Note: I always have the paralysis as I’m waking up.

Whenever I drink iced capps or iced coffee, I get panic attacks, I can drink the Vanilla ones just fine, but any other flavor I get all panicked and can’t breathe.
I was just wondering if there is anything in the coffee drink that would trigger my panic attack or if I can’t handle something in the drink
I just panic off coffee drinks, nothing else.
Does anyone else have this problem also?

I had a panic attack about a week ago, I had all the typical symptoms and was taken to the emergency room. Is it normal to still have symptoms a week later? I still feel really off, I guess I would say..I just don’t feel normal, I’m constantly worried that I have a heart condition. I’m still have a hard time breathing and it’s been a week, I feel like I’m not getting enough air. Is this all in my head or should I seek medical treatment? Has anyone experienced this before?

I’m not sure if it’s a panic attack but I think it’s some sort of breathing problem.
It looked like a bicycle horn and made some kind of perfume spraying sound.
I think it’s actually just a wind ? going in. What is this thing called ?
I saw the it in the movie Hop (Rabbit easter bunny 3D animation) and Deck vs the evil ? (The guy who tries to kill them used it ) I can’t remember the exact title but it was a comedy horror made recently.

I’ve been having these dreams where I see a girl and I feel like I’m having a panic attack but I know it’s not. My heart beats so fast, it starts hurting and I can’t scream for help or even move my body.
This has happened already 4 times this year and I’ve never had these kind of dreams before. What’s happening?

I am 13 and have have two panic attacks. i havent gone to the doctor but their is anxiety disorder in my mums past. I had my first panic attack when i had a needle, and the second when i flew off fast scooter. i dont know how to deal with the attacks and my mum dosnt help, all she says is calm down and acts as if im embarrising. i htink she thinks im exagerating over little things. but when it happends its out of my control i cant stop shaking and hyperventilating, my hands freeze up and i had severe tingling in my face and a very pale face.Mum dosnt want to take me to the doctor or buy any medications. i agree with her when she says she dosnt want me on any strong perscribed drugs. she dosnt want to spend lots of money taking me to phyciatrists or phycologists(im not sure which one) but i want to get better. any advice. please give me good answers im realy stressed about it all

HEY THERE
I have been reading through so many questions on this subject and started my own FREE blog for anyone who is suffering from Anxiety / Panic & / or Depression.
I had Panic & Depression for 16 years, over that time I have come across so many different things that worked for different circumstances and some not so well. Each time I managed to eliminate or at the very least subdue a panic attack they eventually became a non-issue in the sense that I don’t get them anymore!!! I want to save you $$$’s and energy in "some" peoples apparent attempt at helping (if it looks more like a get-rich-quick-scheme, it probably is), check my site out, again, NO Teasers in here, just results that I have used that WORKED!!!
I am also available through this site should you have anymore specific questions you don’t feel have been resolved! Just send me a private message in that site:)
It is: http://joyful-options.blogspot.com/
All the best for your journeys!
Love
Joy:)
