I get my hair done through pressing or flat iron, but recently i have been getting a Dominican blow out and the heat is excruciating, I almost cried when getting it done, and my leg was shaking. Is there anyway to calm my nerves and maybe get some kind of pain tolerance for this heat?
P.S.>>>. I have spoken to several people who have gotten it and said it didn’t burn or hurt, why am I crying over it.

I have always wondered this. To me this seems like it would hurt the organism. If you have a tooth ache how is it an advantage to have nerves cause you so much pain that you can no longer eat. To me it would be more advantageous to develop like a shark does. So when our teeth break or rot they just fall out and another pops up in its place.

My hockey team is having it’s opening season practice tonight. I have some anxiety troubles, so my nerves are definitely messing with me.
How do you deal with beginning of the season nerves? Any tips for me? Thanks in advance.

Like my dad had bell’s palsy on one side of his face not long ago and i know stuff like that eventually comes back. Hypothetically though, if someone had nerve damaged by injury or damage to tissue do the nerves always regenerate back to normal over time? I know age factors in, so say it was a young person? Curious? What about with brain?

Hi, I have my first driving test on Thursday and am feeling increasingly anxious. Has anyone got any tips on how they managed the nerves on the day. I know some stress is ok but too much can stop your brain working and I am afraid from how I feel even thinking about it I will fall into that category.
All help or advice gratefully received.

I’ve had 4 driving lessons. Each time I am so nervous I can’t think straight and keep making mistakes. I’m so tense and my breathing is quick. Sometimes I feel nauseous before a lesson but not during it.
My instructor says when I do things right I do them perfectly and it’s not that I can’t do it but it’s my nerves that’s stopping me from doing it right all the time. So how can I stop my nerves from stopping me?

My mom was elevated in the poditrist’s chair and she said her nerves were affecting her. She’s about 89 years old. I told her that it was really stress and not the general term of nerves.

During rehearsals I sing loud and confident. Also I used to sing a lot years ago but got out of the habit. Any tips on singing confidently without the audience hearing my nerves in my voice. That would really help.

I have a lot of things going on in my life right now…One major thing is a test I am going to take this weekend, the Praxis II, to get certified to teach. Well I have been a total nerve wreck, I get frustrated and cry and yell and do and say a lot of stuff I don’t mean. I just feel so overwhelmed. Anyone have any suggestions of some herbal or vitamins that might help relieve and calm my nerves?

Okay so my school only competes in cheerleading on varsity level. I made the competition squad and we’ve been working on our routine since June. Our first competition is in exactly one week! I am so nervous because it’s my first time competing. I am a flier and we do numerous stunts and I’m scared I’ll let my team down by letting my nerves get to me and not hitting a stunt. Does anyone know what I can do to calm my nerves before the competition?
