Because of my agoraphobia I have been unable to work, but I have been denied Social Security benefits. I would like to get better, but I have no money, no current doctor, and no health insurance. Help!

I think I may have this but have read that people in cold environments get it more often… does that mean like alaska or does NYC qualify? I dont want to spend money going to a doctor only to find out I dont have it because people in NYC hardly ever get it.

I want to be a psychiatrist. I love helping people with their problems, and look to take it to the next level. I would consider Psychologist, or a type of Psychologist, but honestly, I am on track to earn alot more money than the average psychologist. I want to find a type of Psychiatry where I can prescribe medicines, but also provide therapy to patients. I have heard that Psycho-Analysts and Psycho-Therapists are like this. I really want to help find ways to raise awareness of eating disorders (mainly dealing with teens): bulimia, anorexia, binge eating, etc. Any ideas of how I can help raise awareness? I would also like to raise money, except I don’t know where exactly I should send the money once it is raised, like a hospital (to help pay for treatments for people diagnosed with an eating disorder) or an eating disorder charity, or use it to start a small place that would help people on the path to recovery…I’m not sure, please help.

Suppose some parents caught their son trying on girls’ clothes (dresses, skirts, pantyhose, even a cheerleading uniform), and it’s not the first time he’s done that. His parents threatened to take him to a psychiatrist if he doesn’t stop that. What could a psychiatrist possibly do in this situation (besides just take their money)?
