I won’t try to diagnose you over the internet. Go see a psychiatrist about the S.A.D.. Just know that any form of depression — includion Seasonal Affect Disorder — is a LOT more than just "getting all sad". So if that’s all there is to it, my own non-professional opinion would be no, I think you just hate the winter and love the summer.
I can’t quite interpret what you’re asking in the second part, but I’m guessing it’s "Can you get a mental scar from getting made fun of?"? Define "mental scar". It’s not exactly a medical or psychological term. You can suffer from it in the form of depression — my own clinical depression partially stems from heavy bullying I suffered as a child — but otherwise I don’t think so. Hating people for making fun of you is very normal, but eventually you will get over it. Trust me — I’ve been there, and I’m still partially there.
Just please, don’t try to diagnose yourself by looking up illnesses online and trying to fit yourself to the symptoms. S.A.D. is a serious mental illness, since it is a form of depression. On the other hand, if you really do feel that something is seriously wrong, don’t hesitate to see a doctor, or some professional. I wouldn’t advise going onto Y!A and asking on here, either.
Could be SAD, could be anxiety/depression related to school and all the stresses that go with that. You feel better in the summer because you don’t have any responsibility. I’m assuming you’re a student. If not, then try getting some ultraviolet lights and sitting under them for a half hour each day. Or see your doctor.
i live in canada and lose sunlight so do as i take vitamine d it works
You tend to get it because there is a lot less sunlight. Sunlight helps give you energy which is included in vitamin D. It’s just normal. Particularly if you live in far North or far South places with early sunsets.

PS I have SAD, too.

I suffer from S.A.D.Mine start in Nov and end around feb.I also suffer from anxiety. Most of my symptoms for sad are almost the same as my anxiety.I feel down, low energy,i get agitated more easily and the list goes on.I started to take Trazadone and after it kicked in in about 3 weeks i felt better. If meds are not an option.I have also done the tanning thing.I would tan almost every day or every other day and felt ok.Try and enjoy the sun when it does come out.Get out of the house even when its cloudy and take a walk.If things get bad talk to your DR.Good luck!!
