Low Test, First of all let me tell you I have been taking testosterone injections and using Andro Gel for over 12 years and the Endocrinologist who prescribed Test for me told me I would have to use it the rest of my life and I fully intend on doing just that. Contrary to what you hear or read on the internet or from people who know nothing about testosterone replacement therapy, TRT – there are "absolutely no adverse side effects" from taking TRT. None! The testosterone in the injections is exactly the same as what your body makes naturally and all you are doing is replacing what your body is not producing. However having said that, there is one side affect if you plan on having children because it will lower your sperm count and you’ll become virtually infertile. So if you want children have them first before taking Test. This infertility can be reversed if you stop taking Test but it will take awhile for your body to recuperate, at least 8 weeks or more, probably more like a couple months. The only way to find out for sure if your Test is low or why it is low is to have a blood test measuring several factors that could cause low test, e.g. your LH & FSH hormones, prolactin, the aromatase enzyme, & your testicles production. My diagnosis was "idiopathic hypogonadism" which means the reason is unknown why my testicles were not functioning normally. Ironically my doctor is in WV but might not be close to you since he is in Petersburg and also in Mt Storm. He’s at the VA clinic in Petersburg and his private practice in Mt Storm, Dr. Alan Kunkel but my advice would be go see an Endocrinologist or a Urologist, not some general practitioner. There are also Hormone Replacement Therapy Clinics in some of your larger cities that specialize in this. If you need any more information you can contact me @ fototag@rocketmail.com I’m very familiar with TRT and also the use of steroids having used both in the past 20 yrs.
P.S. If you go to the following site they have a section on HRT where you can read about personal experiences from guys who are using Test & HGH.Hormone Replacement Therapy, Longevity, Wellness, Anti-Aging, Alternative Medicine < http://forums.steroid.com/ >
You have had advice from all those Dr.s and are seeking advise in an open forrum. U also need a head doctor
prescription steroids (androgel and testim) are basically safe. They are little gel packettes you rub on your body once a day. There are side effect risks like any medication (prostate problems, etc), but they work and help with all the symptoms of low testosterone you described in your summary.
Sometimes they can be used short term to get the levels up again and can be discontinued.
Some of your symptoms sound a bit like depression too, that last doctor you saw may be right. I’d get a few second and third opinion and get your test. level checked again. If I were in your shoes, I’d try the hormone treatment prior to the antidepressants if your level is still low.
Hi, I know stress does lots of things and there is no cure for it, I had a high testosterone level it even grew long hair in my arms and legs, I was drinking whey protein for about 3 month and of course some exercises. I know you’ve tried all kind of vitamins, but you should do some research on whey protein it even helps your heart be stronger. Hope this helps. And for sex, fresh seafood, peanuts and wine will definetly mess with your hormones, you’ll never need viagra in your life.
You have my sympathy – I was in very much the same place as you are now. Tired, feeling unenthusiastic about anything (doc said it was depression – it wasn’t), no sexual desire, no erections (they just went away).
I tried a few medications (Androgel – didn’t work and way too expensive), some natural products (wild yam, etc.), exercise – nothing worked.
I now use Andromen Forte – it’s a bioidentical testosterone cream from Australia.
The company is very helpful and their customer services is spot on. Can I suggest that you talk to them?
They have a contact webpage on their site here:

If you send them an email with a copy of your question here I know they will help you.
Good luck.
