Yes it is shown to help people who have disorders stemming from a lack of light/vitamin D. Your body literally absorbs UV rays and synthesize it into Vitamin D in your intestine! Trippy, huh?
Lack of vitamin D can deteriorate your bones and muscles, giving you a general feeling of malaise.
Try getting out in the sun more (it’s free) and eating more leafy green veggies (brussel sprouts and broccoli sprouts are filled with Vitamin D, and make sure you’re getting some good (HDL) cholesterol because Vitamin D cannot synthesize in the body without cholesterol.
Just FYI – Calcium cannot be absorbs into the bones without Vitamin D either.
I have one, and it helped a little. Keeping my eyes within 2 feet, and keeping it in my line of sight was annoying. I have chronic depression and have taken a sleep aid for the past 10 years, at least.
Your links won’t work. I remember I didn’t buy a happy-lite, and that I paid $200 on e-bay (new).
I’m miserable without the sunlight. I have tubes in my roof to let more sun in. My door is always open to let the light come through the screen door. My favorite room in the house has more than 12 feet of sliding patio doors, and I never close my drapes over them.
If you think it will help, buy it. Just the feeling you get knowing you’re trying to make yourself better is worth $200, I think.
