Lexapro is a combination drug, meaning it is two drugs;an anti-depressant and a mood stabilizer. It should take about 2weeks for the drug to get into your system. Good luck.
4-6 weeks. That’s pretty standard for most antidepressants.
For everybody it’s different. Usually it takes, just like other SSRIs, a couple of weeks before you start noticing positive benefits of the drug. Some people notice it sooner, and in some people it takes about 4 weeks.
Give it some time, and be sure to openly communicate with your doctor about any changes you experience.
I’m on it right now, and it has taken me 4 weeks. I started at 5mg, then built my way up to 20. I defientely felt the benefits at 20 and am really happy at that dose.
