Clonazepam is used to treat anxiety, so it is natural to feel a period of anxiety following it stoppage. How much depends on a number of factors, such as how long you took it and how quickly you stopped taking it (you should always be weaned off of this type of drug). Very likely the anxiety from withdrawal will last no more than 2 weeks, and probably much less.
Physical activity has worked great for me when it comes to anxiety. Take a walk, go for a bike ride, do what you enjoy and try to avoid giving yourself too much time for negative thoughts. St. John’s Wort can be helpful for mild depression, but it can take a few weeks to start working.
Spend time with someone who cares about you.
This sounds like a clear case of withdrawal. It’s normal and it should go away soon once your body has time to adjust.
And don’t assume natural remedies aren’t going to cause you problems as well. There’s a nice little herb that treats anxiety that you can get without a prescription. It’s called tobacco, and it’s probably going to give you worse withdrawal than you’re going through now.
I have a website called anxietycompass.com that is full of free information that might help you. You don’t need supplements or meds if you have anxiety. You just need to change the way you think. Good luck.
Hey, there’s heaps of natural therapies you can try. Firstly, let’s talk food. Avoid caffeiene, processed products like microwave meals etc. and high sugary products. If you want calming things, drink Camomile or Peppermint tea, both have strong calming aspects. Avoid St. John’s Wort. It’s potent and closely linked with suicide, don’t go there. Also, exercise. It releases endorphins which make you happy. Try meditation cd’s, hypnosis cd’s that you can listen to while you sleep.. Make sure you’re not tense, get massaged if you are because tension = anxiety. Get enough sleep, drink water. Try incense, that always calms me down. Have a bath with milk and honey and incense and chill out music, helps me. Another tea you can try – actually a really good one – it’s called Valerian! It’s great, especially if you’re finding it hard to sleep at night.
Here are some idea’s:
1. Try Byron Katie – she is fantastic – I can’t recommend her highly enough.
2. If you get panic attacks, sign up for the free emails on the panicaway website.
3. Try reading Patrick Holford’s "Low GL diet" – blood sugar imbalances can cause havoc with your body and symptoms include depression, mood swings, tiredness, drowsiness after eating, cravings for sweet foods, headaches, heart palpitations, anxiety, irritability, agrressive outbursts, crying spells, excessive sweating, dizziness and trembling.
4. Keep two journals. One for writing down all your feelings, this is really good for clearing out your anxieties and getting all your
war onto paper, you can delete it straight after if you need to, it’s just good to really see your stressful thinking. And the other can be your gratitude journal – write down all the things you are grateful for that happened today.
5. Read "Happiness is a Choice" by Barry Neils Kauffman.
Best wishes.

I found this website which may be an interesting resource on panic attack.

St John’s Wort is too weak in my opinion and also carries risks, especially when mixed with other drugs.
I know of a few herbs which are truly amazing for anxiety and depression but i don’t think you should be mixing drugs and herbs. Pick one or the other. Just my opinion.
I use several herbs to help my anxiety disorder.
Kava-Kava (kinda need a lot to feel the effects)
Wild Kratom (really amazing)
Ecsphoria (wow!)
Salvia (tried it once, won’t repeat, too intense)
