For example dreaming that your roof is going to fall on you and then suddenly waking up and having an anxiety attack stressing that it’s is going to happen to you.

Hi Emma — Yes, I would say it is. I’ve had anxiety attacks, and I spent a lot of time dealing with them and finally getting past them. One of the biggest things to realize is that they come from inside of you — not things outside of you. It’s your reaction to the thing — whether it’s a speech you have to give, a situation you’re in, or a nightmare. No matter what it is, it’s your reaction.
Of course you can go read up on the physical things that go on with you when you have an anxiety attack at Wikipedia or a medical site, but the thing that will help you most is to know that you are in control (even though it feels like you’re not in control). By that I mean that it isn’t the thing (like nightmares) that is causes the anxiety. That’s just a trigger. The key is to be able to control your reaction.

Absolutely. The mind can manifest physical maladies very easily. Many who suffer from anxiety often have very disturbing dreams that contribute to this condition.
