I personally think that if hypnosis is capable of produce post hypnotic amnesia, it should be possible that it can produce permanent amnesia as well if it's done correctly. Anyway, it's just my theory. I personally don't like and don't support hypnosis (many call it the art of suggestion) due to the insufficient amount of research and study regardless of what hypnotherapists try to tell you. I don't think it's scientific. It often creates false memories. Many aspects of it is unknown and not fully understood.
