There is nothing wrong with seeking help for anxiety at any time but keep in mind that your anxiety is completely normal and should pass if your tests come back clear….. sometimes we jump too quick to taking a pill for help… anxiety is normal in your situation and maybe you just need to deal with it…. it can’t be but a couple of days until you get test results back.
If you expect a depressive episode it is best to start taking antidepressants a month before the event, people who have SAD do this every year because antidepressants take a few weeks to work,
As for anxiety you can take the benzos when required.
cinnamon melt (great name!) – I agree that its best to address anticipated anxiety or depression BEFORE it occurs to stop it from happening in the first place. Don’t feel as though you have to take antidepressants or other heavy duty drug. There are plenty of natural remedies that can work wonders for you without all the side effects. Good luck. Stay positive and dont worry until you have a reason to.
