Is 20mg of Lexapro per day a lot or not much as far as antidepressants go?

i believe w/ lexapro it starts out at 10 mg a day, and it can go up to 30 mg a day, depending on what you need.
so no that isnt too much
usual dose in 10-20mg per day.
The dose range starts at 5-10mg.. I think the 5 mg tablets are very new though. Here’s some info I read:
"For all patients, 10 mg/day is the recommended starting dose of LEXAPRO. 10 mg/day is also the maintenance dose for many patients. If the dose is increased to 20 mg/day, this should occur after a minimum of 1 week. LEXAPRO can be taken morning or evening once daily, with or without food."
