In what ways will my life change after getting rid of my depression and anxiety?

I’m going to start taking meds for my anxiety and severe depression and there are some things I have been wondering about.
1. Will my attitude towards things be different?
2. Will my personality change? and in what ways?
3. Will I feel happier?
4. Will I stop caring about what others think of me?
5. will my terrible social skills get better?
I know these questions may seem dumb, but I want to know.

yes things will change how much & to what degree is entirely up to you~so bye bye♦
Everyone experiences medication differently. And it is a little scary because it can be hard to separate how your anxiety and depression make you feel from how you really are.
Here are my best guesses, but you won’t really know until you know. Based in part on my studies and my own experience with antidepressants.
1. Yes. If you’re depressed, you’ve probably been pretty negative, and with recovery, you’ll start being more positive about things that warrant positive reactions.
2. No, your personality won’t change. You are who you are. If it DOES change, that’s a very bad sign, and you should talk to your psychiatrist right away.
3. Yes, but keep in mind that it will take up to a month before you do feel happier.
4. You might stop being so anxious about it, but you won’t stop caring. Even people without anxiety and depression care what others think of them.
5. You’ll probably feel better about yourself, and the added confidence might help. However, some people are just awkward.
The best way to make changes is a combination of therapy and taking medication. Therapy is a big part of making changes. First you need to understand yourself and then you will choose to behave in new ways. Best Wishes to you.
First, Congratulations!!! I hope the rest of your life is full of happiness. As far as your question is concerned then answer to most of your questions is YES!!! only the 4th and 5th questions are a bit tricky because they are not directly related to depression and anxiety.
I also have issues with my depression . I posted my question on wish123 and got an answer from an expert who solved my problem. Worth a try.
