I want to recieve treatment for anxiety…?
I’m pretty sure I need to be on something for it because no matter what I do I can’t shake it and for the past two years, since I graduated from high school and have had alot more responsibility, it seems to keep getting worse and worse. So now, how do I make a doctor’s appointment? Does it matter what doctor’s office I call? I am 19 but my Mom takes me to a place called Promed whenever I need a physical or get sick so does that mean I can just call them up and say I need to set up an appointment or is there anything I need to do? We don’t have insurance and I don’t want my parents to find out about this since they would tell me that every ounce of my money needs to go to paying back college loans…. any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Hello! I also have suffered with anxiety/panic attacks for the past 6 years. You may want to try some self-help on your own before you go to a doctor. I found relief by reading the Anxiety and Phobia Workbook. It gives you ways to help yourself instead of relying on medication.
However, if you feel like you really need something just call your doctor and say that you’ve been feeling very anxious and would like to talk to somebody about it. A good medication for anxiety is Ativan but it is HIGHLY addictive and should not be taken everyday.
My suggestion is that self-help and therapy are the best way to deal with your problem. When you only use medication you just cover up the problem and to truely get better you need to find the root of the anxiety and deal with your emotions.
I hope you find relief!! Blessings to you…
You can try valerian tea for anxiety. Eat less spicy food. Watch better movies. Listen to romantic music.
