I had some aching back pain last year, but I was able to get a great phyical therapist that helped me quite a bit. Try finding a Illinois physical therapist to help you. http://www.physicaltherapyreview.com/Illinois-Physical-Therapy.html

Its pretty hard to get into a Physical Therapy program. My brother-in-law has amazing grades from U of U, worked at a hospital for physical therapy while doing his undergrad.. has applied to several schools for a masters and hasn't been accepted into one. Its a very competitive field and you will need something amazing to help to stand out. I hope that everything works out for you!

Aim for >3.4gpa. Some schools want you to have volunteered 80 hours for a PT, but shoot for 100, and make sure that you get all your prereqs. I don't know what the stats are nation/statewide but in Loma Linda University in Calif., people with a 3.4+ are in.

They also have a new service where you can apply to one school and you can choose to send an application to as many schools as you want for like $20 each to increase your chances of acceptance. But with this many people applying, many get accepted to many schools but choose where they want to go, which can also limit your chances of getting accepted to some schools.
