Depression and anxiety can have a major impact on your ability to communicate with others. If you are noticing that your feelings towards your family and friends have changed then you should seek medical help. You may not need drug therapy but counselling may certainly help you deal with whatever issues are the underlying cause of your problem. As someone who has suffered depression for many years please seek help before it gets out of control Good Luck

It sounds like you do have depression. Anxiety and depression can tare you apart from your family. I have experienced this. It's hard to sit in a room of family and people who love you and feel completely distant from them. Soon you might start avoiding all of them. Depression can completely ruin relationships.
I highly suggest seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist if possible. Trust me, it will help a ton. Everyone needs to talk to someone about these issues sometime in their lives.

As the TV commercial asks: (Q) Who does depression hurt (A) Everyone (Q) Where does depression hurt (A) Everywhere.

You need a strong & understanding partner to try & understand what you are going through right now, both mentally & physically, as they both go hand & hand. If you have a strong supportive mate, then that's half the battle. You must first, seek medical attention, by seeing your family physician. Let him/her, know how you are feeling & what you are feeling. Be open & honest about everything. Hopefully, with the right combination of antidepressant & therapy, you will start to feel better before long. The two go hand in hand. Try to go for a walk each day & eat healthy, not to mention getting ample amounts of sleep. Being in therapy will help you to find out why you have anger, that is unexplainable. A mild antidpressant will help curb your anxities, fears, & enable you to cope easier, day to day. Ask your therapist what reading material would best help you in your situation. Have faith & believe that in time you'll feel better about life & yourself.

I wish you all the best!

Depression can cause you to distance yourself from other people as you prefer to alone rather than in the company of others. Its strange, as you can feel lonely at the same time. The best thing you can do is try to spend time with others, even if it is the last thing you feel like doing. Explain what is wrong to those people - you have an illness. Good luck. Ps. I hope you are being treated for your depression - if not then you must go to your doctor. xx
