Go to the park for a few hours;then have some apple cider.
Have lots and lots of spiked cider and take a friend with u so you wont be that uncomfortable…Happy Holidays sweety… Everything will be fine..u’ll see!
I do present shopping all year long. I look for things on clearance and stash them away in a closet. I also hit post holiday sales for items that can be used as gifts (ex: easter coloring books). Now that some stores have layaway I might put some things on layaway to have for the future (like a Wii). By doing this whenever a birthday party or major holiday pops up, I have gifts to give and don’t have to run out and buy anything. That takes out the biggest stress. It frees me up to hanging out with family and friends and I am not rushing all over town making sure I have everything.

Be polite around them. Then if they say something smart ass say something smart ass back.
I try to get things done in advance like my shopping and wrapping, so I’m not stressing too much at the last minute.
I also make list for things to help keep me organized.
This entire season is so busy and with budgeting, big families, obligations…
I try to make sure I schedule time in for myself every day… even if it’s just a couple hours. Reading by the Christmas tree, walking the dogs while I look at people’s decorations, daily devotionals,…
Then when the time comes to be near the person I don’t get along with I’m not as stressed. I just tell myself, "just a few hours" and I try to make the best of it. Sometimes it’s not as bad as I’d predict and others… I find an excuse to go kick the soccer ball around outside or remember that I forgot to call a family member.
I honestly don’t have that problem. I love my family (even the extended one). Just avoid the person you don’t like without making it too obvious. If you must talk to them, just be civil. It’s only a day or two.
The most important thing is keeping a positive mindset. It’s so easy to focus on the negative. When you can interrupt these negative thoughts with positive ones, you can actively control your mood.
Sound a little too easy? Well, yeah, it does take some practice but you can control how you feel if you monitor your thoughts pretty closely.
