How do you help someone over come a mental breakdown?

I have a friend that had a mental beakdown a few years ago and sometime when she gets really mad and want to go out to forget about whats making her mad we have a few drinks and when we go home she will go to sleep for awhile then she wakes up frantic with her nerves jumping really bad. I stay with her all night and the next day to make sure she ok. sometime I get scered and dont know what to do to help her.

i would add to suggest your friend to eat healthy and take vitamins, also to get enough sleep
maybe less alcohol when going out, cause that affects her waking up frantic and being moody, juice would be better or something else healthy

Just being there for her is the best thing you can do. She might need to go see a doctor for a med check up but don’t give up on her that would be the worst thing anyone could do right now. Keep by her side and she will get better.
