		<description>There are anti-depressants that the GP can provide that feel like benzodiazepines. Trazodone has a similar fast-acting, anti-anxiety and sedative effect but is NOT related to the benzodiazepines. It sounds like you could use an antidepressant at a time like this anyway. It also helps for anxiety. In fact, I take it. It will knock you out with the first dose and then over a period of months reduce in sedation, however you&#039;ll always notice you&#039;ve had your dose. I take mine before bed.

There are also sleeping tablets such as Zopiclone which are considered &quot;non-benzodiazepines&quot; but I wouldn&#039;t recommend them because they act on the same receptors as benzodiazepines, just in a different way.</description>
