How can I become a physical therapy assistant?

I have a B.A. in recreation with a minor in health and kinesiology. I was hoping to become a physical therapy assistant, but have NO idea how to go about doing this. Most PTA’s have a 2 year degree in physical therapy. Would I be able to complete a shorter certificate program in order to be certified? (I live in NC). Thank you!

I’m not sure about the qualifications but I know someone who went to the program at LLUMC and a lot of my friends went to other Medical programs there. They are a top ten Med School.

Unfortanuately it is a two year program. There is no shorter way to do it. I put in a link of all of the accredited schools and links about PT/PTA schooling.
If you already have a BA degree with a minor in health and kinesio, I would recommend you go directly to PT schools. Email me if you have further questions.
