Fibromyalsia cure?
I have fibromyalsia-any one out there hear of that?Basically, I suffer with pain every day all day. I make a daily effort to control my pain with a healthy attitude, exercise and balanced diet. I do not use any medication as it is simply my preference not to… but I was wondering if there are any practices out there that have lead towards a healing or at least to keep the pain at bay. I am interested in natural, safe methods.
If at all possible, I would be interrested in speaking with doctors/practitioners one-on-one to share with them what works for me and to discover what has worked for their clients.
Everyone I’ve encountered so far use prescription meds, say they are in too much pain to work out or walk, and more often than not are on disability.
My way isn’t easy, but it works. However I am interested to know if there is anything else I should be doing: different therapies, diet, light-therapy, etc.-that might be successful. Again, natural remedies only

Here is a good site where u can post question and review answers from people who have the condition.
Yes, I work for a Chiropractor and many times being adjusted helps with fybromylagia. It is worth a try and at least you get better overall health.
There are a lot of good sites out there about people who have found ways of coping with fibromyalgia. One that I liked is listed below.
I just did a search in google ‘natural remedies for fibromyalgia’. It seems to be a trial and error process for each person. Different things work for different people. You’re smart to stay away from prescription meds. they just cause different problems.
Bee stings work wonders.
I agree with the person who suggested a Chiropractor. It is a safe, effective, therapudic way to get relief. Plus many offices have modalities like a roller or water table that are so relaxing! Also, many insurances cover chiropractic care, which is helpful.
In this book, my favorite naturopathic Doc talks about treating patients with 5-Htp which boosts serotonin. I find it works well for my extensive pain.

i have fibromyalgia. i know what you are dealing with. i also have met people who turn to drugs and believe me, there are times i really wish i had some. but the main thing you need to do is strecth when you frist wake up. you may be sore but it gets everything back where it should be before starting your day. the very best thing to do is make sure you get enough deep sleep as that very well may be the root of the problem.
As a Reiki Master/Teacher I find it interesting that you ask about healing and not a cure. That is primarily the focus in reiki. It is a form of energy work that promotes well being often with the result of pain relief. I have treated my aunt for fibromyalgia and others for various conditions that include severe pain. There is a lot of info out there about reiki, and like anything else online there’s some good, some bad and some really crazy. If you want just the smple straight facts without any kind of sales pitch feel free to email me. I can tell you more about it and how to find a certified practitioner in your area. I will not be able to recommend anyone specifically unless you live nearby. Good luck and I’ll keep my eyes open in case you reply.
Go and see a specialist at a Pain Clinic. They really are beneficial in controlling severe pain. I’ve had chronic back pain since an accident and believe me medication and rehab did not solve the problem.
