A woman with borderline personality looks like any other woman; the diagnosis does not affect her appearance, other when she is not taking care of herself. The symptoms are a love/hate relationship with others, for beginnings. Pull up borderline personality on google, or yahoo.com and you will see other symptoms. But there are many,many borderline walking around, on medication and doing very well. Medication is key to them, and even though there is not a recovery, there is a time when they are under control, with medication.
she will not handle breakups at all, because one of the other symptoms is a fear of abandonment. Anyone in a relationship with a borderline who is not on medication is in for a roller coaster ride. there are many books written about the personality, so if you are the boyfriend, get a book and read up on it. Most people are drawn to borderline, because they use seductive methods, including sex, to get close, and then the problems start. Again, only if untreated. Treated borderlines are easy to be around and no different than anyone else with emotions, etc. But do read, read and learn.
You only tend to look like a stalker if you’re being a stalker!
No, it probably doesn’t go away, but could be treated with meds.
Don’t know about recovery but people with this disorder are basically ‘crazy’ in the way they perceive their world.My sister-in-law goes off the rails when it is combined with alcohol consumption.These people need help but are often not willing to get it.
It can be treated successfully with medication. The problem is that it is hard to convince some people with mental disorders to stay on their medication. Once they start feeling "normal" they decide they don’t need the meds anymore and often take themselves off.
