Congratulations on the birth of your son!
I think you already know that having your first baby, and having a newborn in the house is very stressful.
The only thing that I can recommend to you is to make sure that each of his parents get at least 1/2 hour of "me" time every day.
You both need that in order to recharge for the work that day (and night) !
Half an hour seems like nothing, and yet it is so difficult to come by in those first 6 weeks with a newborn.
Good luck!
Physical Exercise…..pushups, situps, lifting weights, a game of basketball with your buds…
typhoons mum:
my sister has just had a baby on the 6th/2/09, she has been extremely stressed,as a single mum with now 3 children, i visited her and while bubby was asleep i told her to put her feet up, time out for you i am giving you a foot massage, she hesitated,i didn’t. it helped her to take a bit of relaxation time out for herself. the thing to always remember is that you and your partner are a team, the way you will get through this is to remember you love each other and their to support each other as we forget,we areall going through a hard time to. there are alot of councellors in so many different areas which can help. u can email me for more help if i can, as i am a mum with 5 children from 8-16years,not easy either with disabilities with 3: sexygirlshelly2@yahoo.com.au. Remember thier is always someone out there who is worse off than you. Need to keep a smile on our dial.
