I’m feeling disorientated, out of it and really, really tired. This is my 5th day with Lexapro (5mg) once daily and I take it at night. I also had trouble reaching an orgasm last night with my husband, which never happens! I’m wondering if all this is a normal process of starting Lexapro and if I should be feeling these symptoms so soon.

Can anyone provide some insight that has taken Lexapro?

I’ve been taking Lexapro for a year and a half now and want to come off of it because it has caused problems with my thyroid and prolactin levels and a whole other range of things. I might also try to get pregnant in the future. I’m on 20 mg daily at the moment. How fast or slow should this medicament be reduced to avoid having withdrawal symptoms?

I am just curious about this…I take Lexapro for OCD and Depression and my sister takes it too and we share it because its expensive for us so she gave me a bottle with no sticker on it. Is that illegal?
Danny, I AM PRESCRIBED TO IT. It’s just because its very expensive for my mom to buy it for me. My sister is also prescribed but she only has to pay for hers.
So please dont jump to conclusions.

I Just took my first Lexapro pill yesterday and ive been on implanon for about 3 months. Im scared if i do anything i will get pregnant.

I’m on an antidepressant Lexapro for my anxiety.

My doctor put me on samples, and about almost two months ago or a month ago, he gave me more samples. It looks like a tiny book and when you open it, there is the small medication inside.

So what happens after this when I go back to see him?

Will he start giving me more of the starting kit or will he give me the Lexapro inside an orange medicine bottle?

Does this mean he will start perscribing it to me?

I’m so scared.

I reluctantly started taking Lexapro for anxiety, but now I feel very draggy and depressed for days at a time. I may have felt like this before and not noticed as much, I’m not sure. Can taking meds for anxiety make you feel depressed? I’ve been on it for about seven weeks.

I’m 20 & I’ve been taking Lexapro for anxiety. I’ve been taking it for about a month. The only side effects I’ve experienced were drowsiness & headaches. They’re not severe, but I was wondering if it’s normal? Other than that, I feel great.

I am 19 years old and weigh 140 pounds, can this Antidepressant Lexapro (Escitalopram) cause slowed thinking, mental fogginess, emotional-numbing, loss of interest in any activity, irritability, and other serious cognition problems? I am currently weening off the medicine, but I am almost certain Lexapro was the cause. Any ideas?

Anyone have any personal stories? Help me out. My friends and I were planning on doing Molly, a pure form of MDMA without any other drugs mixed in. I wanna know if it’s safe to mix the two, Molly and Lexapro.

I took 10 mg Lexapro once a day for four days. I stopped "cold turkey" due to side effects. It’s been two days off it yet I still feel side effects. I understand it has a long half-life, but I was wondering how long it’d take for the drug to clear my system completely after four 10 mg doses taken once daily.

I have been on Lexapro for about 4 weeks now to stabilize my anxiety.
However I still feel stressed and more anxious.

I stopped taking Lexapro April 21st and want to start trying to get pregnant in September. Is this enough time for my body to get back to normal? At least enough so that the baby won’t have any defects.
I took it for anxiety right after I got married & moved over 300 miles from my hometown & life as I knew it. There’s no family history of depression. A doctor – our primary care physician – prescribed Lexapro. Oh and I’m back in my home town so things are somewhat back to normal.

I’ve been battling anxiety the past week and a day (since last wednesday morning) and I’m even on anxiety medication for anxiety medication and have been taking it since July and it’s been working since the end of July,but the past week I’ve been battling anxiety. Idk if it’s due to my period that came on yesterday, a week after the anxiety started. It’s very annoying!!!

I’m terrified of flying, and have recently taken to having a couple drinks in the airport bar before my plane takes off. I’m flying tomorrow with my family, and therefore won’t be able to go to the bar beforehand. My mom is going to give me some of her anti-anxiety medication for the flight. She said it might make me tired, but what other effects does this medication have? Will I actually not be scared of flying? I just don’t really understand how it calms you so things you’re terrified of don’t matter. Any answers are greatly appreciated! Happy belated Thanksgiving!

Ok so I want to try to see if I can get on some medicine for my anxiety. But within the next two years I want to join the military. Will they decline me if I take this medicine???
