I am so not a morning person. So I was wondering if light therapy is good for adjusting your circadian rhythms? I often have trouble getting up early in the morning, and when I do I’m half awake, half asleep for a few hours, and I’m often depressed. I’m a night owl, not a morning person. This seems to run in my family and I’ve seen studies that show this is largely genetic. It is also difficult for me to fall asleep early. However, I’ve read that light therapy with a full spectrum light(with some UV to mimic the sun) early in the morning can be used to "treat" this condition, and reset the circadian rhythm and possibly turn a night owl into a morning person. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks.
I occasionally do take melatonin supplements. It seems melatonin supplements reduce the pineal gland’s ability to make its own melatonin, and while melatonin supplements have helped me fall asleep, they aren’t very helpful when it comes to waking up.

Does anyone know a provider that offers liability insurance to Canadian hypnotists? I’m working my way through hypnotherapy training so that is my primary interest, but I’m also interested in hearing about stage hypnosis.
This question is regarding liability insurance for practitioners, not government health coverage.

This is a serious question to those who have experience with hypnosis. I think it might be because I come out of it "too quickly". I like to listen to these "daytime" affirmation audios after listening to some audios with binaural beats that help me relax. I think the problem might be the lack of "suggestions" or audio to slowly get me back up to alpha state. Thoughts?

It was recomemded that I have a S A D Light Therapy Box. My insruance says NO. Does anyone know how to make one. I have searched the W W W and have only found instructions for a hanging light. I need a table top size. Can you help me? And Thank You in advance.

Has anyone ever used light therapy? I am thinking of buying a light for light therapy, but they are quite expensive and dont want to waste my money. Was looking for some extra reviews. I am currently looking a combination light, of a sunrise simulator light, with a desklamp style lamp (two separate lamps), thinking that because I hate mornings so much, the dawn simulator may help my circadian rhythms in addition to the sunlight simulation. I already know that the more sunlight I get the better off I am, so I am really hoping that light therapy will help. Just looking for suggestions. Is a desk lamp an OK style or do I really need that big, bulky overhead style?
So a box style is more important than a desk style? The desk style is not as good?

I know they put pressure or something on the people, but what is the name for it? I want to know how to do it. For those who say hypnosis isn’t real, I believe that in the sense of the word it is. I know you can’t make someone do ANYTHING but you can make them do some things.
