Can you have Generalized Anxiety and Social Anxiety?
I have Anxiety but it’s worse when I’m out and around people/having to talk on the phone etc.
I guess Generalized Anxiety Disorder probably includes Social too but if it’s more than just your regular Anxiety when it comes to social situations can you have both?
I just don’t know whether I sound stupid if I say I have both because you can’t have another type of Anxiety if you already have Generalized Anxiety, if that’s the case.
I have depression too.

you can. i have all three. it’s very common to experience another phobia or depression with GAD.
I think I have both of these types of anxiety. I’ve been diagnosed with a social anxiety disorder, but I spend a lot of time worrying about other things too. I also have occasional depression.
I feel you can. I take a medication (trazodone) indicated for depression and generalised anxiety disorder. It has helped immensely, even with my worries of the future and stuff. However, my social anxiety is still around, very strong and I require another medication for this (propranolol).

Think instead about what is causing you a problem in your life and then think about ways to change that.
So, learn some ways to reduce your anxiety and then apply those techniques when you are in a situation that causes you anxiety.
Depression can sometimes be a result of the anxiety or can cause it – or it is more likely to be a mixture of both. So, by reducing anxiety you will also reduce the impact the depression has on you.

CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) helps you to think about things in a different way so that situations you may have felt anxious in before don’t necessarily cause the same anxiety in future. It will also teach you new ways of doing things which will help you react in different ways. In my opinion a mixture of all of these techniques is usually the most effective,
