No it won’t.
Yes this certainly can affect careers. I do not know what sort or exact medications you’re taking but this will show up on a standard drug test. If you’re on something for bi-polar or anti-depressants or prozac it will show up . You should best ask your MD first before applying for a drug screen at employment.
there is no legal or ethical reason for potential employers to even ask about medication you take, so the short answer is no.
if drug screening is a concern, traces of prescription drugs taken as directed are not going to cause you to fail a drug test.
