Can I take anxiety medicine and stay in the navy?
I have been in the navy 6 years as a Master At Arms. When I first came in, the navy said I have anxiety and put me on meds. Then some instruction changed and they took my gun away until I came off of the meds. I know the instruction changed again allowing waivers for certain meds. I have tried to find out any information without asking to many questions. I basically need to go back on the meds, but dont want my gun taken away. Please help me.

choose one or the other. guns and mood altering meds do not play well together.

Talk to your doc.
Get the care that you need. If you are having problems, it may be better that you do not carry a weapon for now. The doctor is the best one to evaluate that for now.
I am retired Navy Nurse Corps. I also strongly support the Second Amendment.
I am taking an anxiety attacks medicine that is made from a Natural Herb and I am sure that is not against military regulations. Anxiety attacks is something many many people people sufffer from, how you handle them is what sets you appart from the rest. I will give you a link to the medication I take.
