That’s a textbook description of a panic attack. Sounds just like mine, but I also had intense feelings of unreality, very disoriented.
Make sure you write down when it happened and how severe it was. My panic attacks became increasingly frequent, and I was soon having them almost every other day. It got to a point where I was ready to quit school and work, for fear that one would occur while I was there.
This is a somewhat normal panic attack for people who experience severe anxiety. But what is really bad here is that you have started on a downward cycle and fear of having more anxiety attacks is going to cause you to have more anxiety attacks. So you have a problem.
You need to be prepared ahead of time for these anxiety attacks. You need to rehearse over and over again what you will do when you feel the panic set in. Slow measured breathing, visualizing yourself in a happy place, etc. This rehearsal will help you do it automatically when the panic sets in.
Close your eyes when you are alone and in a safe place and take yourself mentally through a panic attack. What you feel like when it first starts to happen and then all the way through it.
If you cant get control of this go and get some therapeutic help.
it depends what your mental state was..i have similar anxiety attacks but i never had chest pains, its normal to have a faster heart rate,to sweat alot or to have some difficulty breathing, and becoming realy nervouse or shake during a panick attack but as for the chest pain i think you should see a doctor.you should find out what is causeing this.
