I know what your feeling, i get anxiety panic attack too .. rarely.. but its because of my past… and what i didnt do, and my deep regrets…. its very rare, but the tought of it all can suddenly just appear in my heart and mind, and i get a very suffocating panic attack, like you.. i took deep breath, trying to breathe, heart aching and i force and try my hardest to not think about it… and then i open the window, just trying my best to pull myself together. But i really hate the feeling, after i get that feeling.
I normally start to pray to God, ask him to help me change, and i feel so energetic and wanted to do the stuff i always said i do, but didnt and time go past .. and that was my regret! … So i made goals for myself, i told myself i will fuifill all these, and i felt better… Panic attack stoped!
But guess what?.. Next day.. i am back to normal, and i didnt know how that felt.. to feel determined to change.. i was back to my lazy self..
But i really should do something, or im going to die of panic attack, i know i will seriously breakdown! … So i am organizing my life, it was my old habit that i have to bring back, its requires effort, but im doing it day by day.. i am keeping an organizer, and im planning stuff…. its a step..
Just remember, that you cant get everything done all in a day, it takes time, so try to do a bit every day and hopefully it becomes a habit, and a good habit your develop…
I am young, but it felt like i was having mid-live crisis! Im almost approaching my mid 20′s… thats my young life almost gone! …
If theres something you really want to do, really get it done, make a start…. If you have any regrets, forgive yourself.. and forget about it, do your best to make up for it.. and thats all you can give, is your best! … I think you and I should live our live to the best, so we wont have anything to look back and regret! … but if there is something we regret, we should take it as a life lesson and move on..
Remember we are imperfect.. so we make mistake!
RELAX
I used to be on many medications too for anxiety, major depression and other mental freakouts. but they where either addictive or expensive.. there is a miracle herb pill that actually works for me and others.. its called Kava Kava. it isnt addictive and you dont have to make a regimen out of taking it. you just taking when you feel the attacks coming on and it chills you out. its about 15 dollars for a large bottle but you only use them when you need to so they last for a long time, i would also suggest a therapist you can get along with and a relaxing hobby.
trust me Kava Kava is legal
Panic attack usually occurs out of the blue even when apparently the person is in a relaxed state of mind or while sleeping. After that it becomes a vicious cycle. The person will develop a fear or a sense of apprehension of having another panic attack and because of the fear he will start having more frequent and intense panic attacks. It is a treatable condition so be hopeful and positive.
have you done anything that caused you to have panic attacks? Because there could be things or situations that can induce panic attacks. Try to remember if you’ve encountered something frequently before your attacks.
My friend also suffers from panic attacks. She doesn’t take her xanax since she didn’t want to become dependent on it. You can also develop a tolerance for those sort of drugs ( I hear).
You can try to stay away, if possible, from stressful or emotionally stressing situations. Those are a likely cause for panic attacks. Situations that make you nervous can also be a factor, but not as likely to create a panic attack. Also having a friend with you if you think you’re going to be encountering some nervous or stressful situations will be helpful.
See the list of possible natural (non-drug) anxiety treatments in the source below. It is probably not comprehensive, but it does give a long list of possibilities for you to consider.
