I’m fifteen, and I suffer from severe anxiety and panic attacks related to emetophobia, or the phobia of throwing up.
I’ve recently been seeing both an exposure therapist and a hypnotherapist, but I have to drop one because they are completely different ways of treating my anxiety. Which do you think would help me better ? I already know hypnotherapy works on me, but I’ve heard many good things about exposure therapy as well. Thank you so muchh.

I want to know if you would do better before a test if (a) being nerves or (b) being relax? Explain your answer

What are some good coping methods for panic attacks?

I am seventeen and currently in high school. I have social anxiety and have frequent panic attacks. I need to have coping methods in place so I do not fully rely on my medicine which is currently not having any effect anyway. I am aware that what helps people with anxiety is different for everyone, but I would like some ideas of coping methods if possible. I am trying to collect a list of them to try next time I have a panic attacks to find out what works and such.

Does Cognitive Behavioral Therapy work for anxiety?

If you’ve had therapy for anxiety, how well do they work? And also, is it expensive to do therapy?

I’ve been wondering this for a while. I know a few people who have almost stopped eating because they’ve become so stressed about certain parts of their life, like their parents separating and things like that.
Is that considered an eating disorder? Or is that just them under too much pressure?

Hello,

I have a chemical imbalance in my brain, that causes my awful mood swings AKA bi polar, how likely is it for my child to have it, my mom has it, and so does one of her two sons from previous marriage. I am the only child between my mom and dad.

Thanks!

I have a chemical imbalance and I will have to take testosterone to level them out. But I was told if I start to lift weights that I would get ripped faster than usual. So I’m asking will I get the same effect as steroids? Please any information will work. I would like to kill 2 birds with one stone. Get Fixed and Jacked. What do you guys think?

Currently I am doing my first undergraduate degree, a BA in Theology. After I graduate, I would like to work with eating disorder patients. What would be an ideal graduate course for me to apply for? I do not want to be counselour and I would prefer not to go into a second BA degree. I have considered going into a Liscened Practical Nursing course, as they are quite short. But are there any other options for me?

What are some signs that you have chemical imbalance in your brain and need medication due to anxiety, versus just having a force of habit anxiety and shyness that can be treated with therapy alone?

Okay so I get frequent panic attacks/anxiety attacks and I find sometimes, that if they’re mild, I can talk myself out of it. Has anyone ever managed their anxiety and panic by self talk or reassurance? Does it really help?

I have been suffering from panic attacks for the past 8 years. Literally ruining my life. Whilst I have tried medication and it had helped me a lot, like big time, it unfortunately makes me very sleepy, and therefore not being able to work properly due to fatigue. Breathing therapy has never worked on me.

My grandmother is 76 years old, and in recent months she has been experiencing heart palpitations accompanied by dizziness and light-headedness. She has worn a heart-monitoring machine and is going for a echo-cardiogram soon. She is reluctant to talk about it, and insists it’s nothing to worry about, however i’m not so sure.

She is mildly (10st 8lb , 5ft 8in) overweight and has smoked lightly (10 cigarettes or less per day) for 50 years.

So what could be some likely causes?
